I'm Really Happy for You...

It seems as though Fridays are my preferred days to be blogging, why? I don't know... it just is... geesh.. get off my back.... :)

Anyhow, I got a story for y'all, & by now you'd think I would have this whole blogging thing down... but I don't & it's ok cause I'm working on it... & also trying to work on my A.D.D.
(I'm lying no I'm not, I can't control my A.D.D.)  -_-


Back to my story...



On one of my 15 minute breaks at work my coworker and I were chit chatting about what we had done the day before, my day was pretty much... work > home > netflix ... yay!
So when she told me she had gone to the drive-in theater... well, my heart just lit up..

One: because I've been wanting to go since it just opened.
Two: JUST BECAUSE... DRIVE-IN THEATER!

So I asked her the "how was it?" question & the "was it fun?" question & after her replies I said "Cool, I'm really happy for you.."

My coworker looked at me like I was crazy & said that it was a weird response. I wasn't gonna let this go & immediately starting questioning this... Why? She said it was because it sounded sarcastic. Now, if you know me, you know that I'm rarely the sarcastic type, she knows I didn't mean it that way, she just thought it was a weird response & usually when people say it... it's either because of some major event like a wedding, graduation, new job, etc.. & not so much for little stuff like ooh... let's say the drive-in theater...(lol) or if they're being sarcastic about something, similar to the "Oh, you want a cookie?" response... anyhow, the conversation got interesting & I got my office manager involved because I wanted his opinion & I thought he was going to understand me, but nooooooooo... he thought I was weird too, I was just wanting someone to agree with me & not think I was weird, didn't work... I'm just weird... lol

So, ok cool whatever, I get it, but I'm the type of  person that actually gets happy with simple stuff like that... & I actually meant that I was happy for her... & this is not hard to believe, because little things make me happy...

Fast forward a week later I'm at work & I told my manager I had gotten a new phone... his response...

"I'm really happy for you..."   & at first it didn't process right away, so my response was "Awww, thank you! I'm excited..." then I got it & I looked at him... & he was laughing at me... haha sooooooooooooooo! I didn't know if he was being sarcastic or if he was really happy for me... lol either way, I was happy FOR ME..

Oh yea! I got a new phone! & I'm really diggin' it...


& that concludes one of my many thoughts this Friday... carry on... :)
